Treetops Resort is once again the host of the 20th annual Midwest Junior Championship.  Each year some of the best student golfers in the region come to Northern Michigan to participate in this championship, making this event one of the largest of the year.  The MJC is open to all junior golfers ages 8 to 18. New, the MJC is open to the Alumni division age 19-25.

Midwest Junior Championship Details (June 30-July 2, 2023) 

FRIDAY, June 30th, 2023
Students may check-in starting Friday between (12:00 PM - 6:00 PM).  
Parent/Player ThreeTops Challenge (Tee times between 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM). Format: 2 Person Best Ball. There is plenty of time for students to participate in both the Skills Contest and the Parent/Child Par 3 Challenge. For the Par 3 challenge you need to sign up separately.

Big Break Skills Contests "Big Time Fun" (1:00 PM - 6:00 PM) Scholarship Points Awarded, Long Drive, Closest to the Pin, Chipping & Putting Contest Stations . Putting and Chipping starts at 1:00 pm until 4.30 pm . Driving contest  and closest to the Pin starts at 4:30 pm until 6.00 pm.

Pizza will be served to tournament participants and spectators during the Long Drive and Closest to the Pin Skills Contests.

        2023 Top50 Midwest Junior Championship - First Round  (7:30 AM – 10:30 AM)Tee Times - #1 Tee
First round of the 36 hole championship is on the SMITH TRADITION.

We encourage caddies; please have your caddie wear a white golf shirt and tan shorts or pants.  Caddies must wear a Top 50 caddie bib


SUNDAY, JULY 2nd, 2023

        2023 Top50 Midwest Junior Championship - Second Round  (7:30 AM – 10:30 AM)Tee Times - #1 Tee
Second round of the 36 hole championship is on the SMITH TRADITION.

All players play 36 holes, there is no cut. (8-10 age division play 9 holes each day).

        Awards presentations will follow the completion of play for each division. Celebration with trophies to top 3 winners in each division. Students, parents and guests are encouraged to remain at Treetops Resort after they complete their round and become spectators and provide encouragement to the remaining players as they complete their rounds.
