The National Golf Scholarship Association has combined efforts with the Top50 Junior Tour and Student Golfer Magazine to provide students (ages 9 to 19) with one of the most comprehensive student development programs in the country. In addition to hundreds of professionally managed competitive tournaments each season, the NGSA provides students with opportunities to earn scholarship awards, find employment at local golf courses, assist in the community, develop their playing ability with PGA Golf Professionals at official competitive training facilities, and college enrollment preparation assistance.
The primary goal of the NGSA and Top50 Junior Tour is to encourage students to participate in the game of golf, enhance the playing ability of student golfers, and build character in the participants. The unique format of the Top50 Junior Tour provides students with numerous goal oriented competitive playing opportunities, student recognition, and scholarship awards for deserving Student Golfers who have the desire to attend college. There are numerous opportunities to be awarded scholarship points including, tournament participation, skills challenges, community service, rules of golf exams, essays, and academics.
Membership & Costs:
-
Top50 Junior Tour offers students one of the most cost effective student golf programs in the country. Our membership fee is lower than most junior golf programs in your state (between $75 & $85), and our qualifying entry fee is also lower (18 hole & 36 hole events are between $55 & $75). In addition to the lower than average cost, the unique Top50 Junior Tour format provides hundreds of students (nearly 50% of the qualifying field) free competitive tournament rounds each week which makes the overall cost to participate considerably lower for each student.
-
It costs less to play the Top50 Junior Tour and students are provided with so many more opportunities to play free tournament golf, earn scholarships, be recognized, and learn to prepare for college. If you take a few minutes to review the Top50 Junior Tour website, and understand the Top50 Junior Program, you will recognize a significant difference in student opportunities.

36-Hole Tournaments:
-
36-Hole Tournaments are highlighted on the tournament schedule and registration page. The format for 36-Hole Tournaments is the same as the Top50 format. The first round is the QR from which (50) students qualify to play the second round. The (50) qualifying students will count both rounds (the QR & TR) in determining each students' 36-hole score. Because the format is the same as normal 18 hole QR, the price remains the same for a 36-Hole nationally ranked tournament. NOW THAT'S COOL!
