2006 Top50jrTour Essay:

By completing and submitting the Top50jrTour Essay you may earn additional scholarship points.  Scholarship points will be awarded to the best ten (10) essays as judged by the Michigan Top50jrTour Director, and two officers of the National Golf Scholarship Association.

Your completed essay is due July 15, 2006. Please answer the following question utilizing examples whenever possible. Include your own experiences to help you answer the question. We will use your responses in developing additional programs and to further improve the Top50jrTour. Please answer via email.

We are committed to greatly improve student golf competitions, committed to offer students more opportunities in golf, committed to increase student golf participation nationally, and committed to grow the game of golf into the future. By completing this essay and answering the following questions you will provide us with your opinions, which will assist us in developing a marketing strategy that satisfies the Top50jrTour commitments listed above and the requirements of the participating students.

Question: There are numerous junior golf programs nationally for students to participate in. Please list ALL the different junior golf programs that you have participated in, including junior tours, leagues, state and national tournaments, and golf lesson programs or camps. (You may ask your parents for assistance to remember golf programs when you were younger). Then provide three positive characteristics or experiences that you enjoyed the most and why, along with three characteristics or experiences that were disappointing and why.

The deadline for your essay submittal is July 15, 2006.
